Often people, instinctively, looking outside and within themselves, tend to put their own spiritual responsibility on others, on the church, on individuals, entities or institutions, or, in the anxiety of an unfulfilling search, look elsewhere for solutions to their internal needs.

Our search has brought us to know Jesus Christ, and the more we learn of him the more we fall in love with the essence of His personhood. Through His example, His word and His spirit we are conscious of how he works within us and of how he changes our life modifying our individual way of thinking and behaving. "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will". (Romans 12:2)

The church of Christ of Florence is a group of people who wishes to return to the gospel of its origins, to the message taught by Jesus, trying to restore with facts the true and sincere christianity as described in the New Testament and practiced by the first christians.

We call on all who wish to be "simply christians", searching through the study of the Word of God the model of church established by Christ, by Him "purchased with his own blood" (Acts 20:28)

We try to live as a family, to comunicate, to encourage one another and help eachother to know the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.

We are conscious of the value of the faith and of its guide as the only essence which allows us to behave daily with the strength that comes from love. "The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love" (Galatians 5:6)
